- To add another account, select Tools Accounts. Then select the plus (+) sign New Account. Note: If adding a Gmail, Yahoo, or other IMAP or pop account, see Add an email account to Outlook.
- If you've entered everything in correctly, task will be completed successfully and you can close out of the window and begin using your account via Outlook 2011 mac. If Outlook knows the settings, they will be filled in for you and the Configure Automatically check box will remain selected.
- If Outlook didn’t automatically fill in the account settings, fill them in manually.
- Click the Add Account button to add your e-mail account to the accounts list in the Account dialog.

Note that these instructions have been written for Hotmail, but the process is exactly the same whether you want to set up an Outlook, Live, or MSN account.

Setting up a Microsoft email account (Hotmail, Outlook, Live, or MSN) using the built-in macOS Mail app is a really easy process.

- Open the Mail app.
- From the top bar menu, select
Mail
and clickAdd Account...
. - Select
Other Mail Account...
and clickContinue
. - Enter your name, email address, and password for your Microsoft account (Hotmail, Outlook, Live, or MSN). Please note: If you have two-step authentication enabled for your Microsoft account, you will need to create an application password for macOS Mail app and use it instead.
